This poll must be wrong! California 49-46 for Kerry
A new Survey USA poll of California gives Kerry only a 3-point lead in California--49-46 percent and also Boxer has a small lead over Jones for the Senate 48-42.

http://www.surveyusa.com/

589 people surveyed with 4.1 +/- is a pretty small sampling for a state the size of California, imo.

1. See electoral-vote.com for a comment on this poll.
It's an outlier. Don't freak.

3. This Poll Has Already Been Debunked...
Republicans are "overweighted" in this poll....

Their likely voter model assumes more Republicans than Democrats will be voting 40% -37%...

Democrats hold a huge registration advantage over Republicns in Cali.

Also, that poll shows Bush getting 28% of the African American vote in Cali while most natioal polls show him getting < 10%....

5. rethugs own the voting machines....and the company that makes them
and the company has already said they would try to get bush as many votes as they can......so maybe it is based on the illegal way that rethugs will control the computers...

8. Don't worry about it
As a Californian I can tell you with absolute certainty that Kerry is gonna win big here. California as a state breaks down to about a roughly even amount of Dems and Pubs until you throw in the Bay area. That region gives the Dems an overwhelming advantage. When these people do some of these polls they poll the state as a whole and don't take into account the bay area factor. Do not sweat it.
