Obama T-Shirts! On a major end-cap no less, they were basically right before the checkout.

They had no McCain shirts at all. :)

Is Walgreens a blue company or is this more likely a store to store local thing?

2. Cool! Maybe it's targeted to Denver because of the Convention?
I hope to hear them selling elsewhere...

3. Wal-greens is most definitely a "red" corp. they are also one of the drug chains
that allows pharmacists to NOT FILL legal prescriptions for contraceptives , etc. if the druggist objects.

For that reason alone, they are on my boycott list.

5. They had Fahrenheit 9/11 DVDs on the checkout when I worked there
Mind you, they also sold The Passion of the Christ, so make of that what you will. I know Passion wasn't a conservative movie in the same way that F9/11 was a liberal movie, but the pubbies certainly adopted it as their own. I suspect the decision was a purely commercial one and they stock whatever they think they can sell. I certainly doubt they are motivated by progressive principles if their attitude to unions is any indication.

6. As a corporation, their highest priority is making money
People are excited about Obama's candidacy, and the possibility of him winning the election. Many of them would be willing to buy an Obama t-shirt. I can't think of any group in this country that would be "excited" about McCain's candidacy. He's about as exciting as watching moss grow. Not a big t-shirt market there.

7. Walgreens is definately NOT blue
I think this is a Denver thing. Wise management at one local store.
