She is/was a family/marriage counselor. She tells it like she sees it, no matter who the person is. I like that kind of honesty and sincerity.

While he could always count on a lively discussion with Mom, he couldn't win all the arguments like he wanted to.

My mom's "feistiness" led her to be elected the second woman elected to our local board of education and the first woman president of the Board.
