GLBT Voters for Obama: Check-In Please!
Just saying hello to the fellow members of the DU GLBT voters for Obama community.

I'm a gay Democratic male from beautiful Springfield, Missouri!

Please check in, and say hi!

:hi:

2. He has my vote, and absolutely nothing else
Edited on Sun Jun-22-08 08:18 PM by TechBear_Seattle
Not until he comes out in opposition to Jim Crow and in favor of my right to marriage.

Added: That makes me a "voter for" like you asked, rather than a "supporter of." Lest anyone get confused as to why I am responding. :hi:

3. Present!
Wish he'd apologize openly about the Donnie issue... but he is in the right place over all and that is what matters. I mean heck, McCain doesn't even support civil unions.

Obama's a good guy. I hope the rest of my glbt friends will fall in line with that as well.

8. Only in the same sense that
A cleanly broken arm is better than two shattered legs.

For ONCE, I would like to see a presidential candidate that opposes breaking our bones.

None of us are equal until EVERYONE is equal. We are not free unless EVERYONE is free.

10. Glad to see there are many others...
I'm a proud gay Obama supporter and will do everything I possibly can to see him elected. Its just a shame some of the people in the GLBT forum are so opposed to him.. but they are a small group of malcontents who don't represent the feelings of the larger gay community (which will vote overwhelmingly for Obama!)

14. For 40 years I've watched my supreme court go from a bastion of liberalism into a cesspool of shit
Now what few "liberals" are left are on the edge of retirement leaving 4 youngish right-wingers waiting for one more asshole to join them. Justice John Paul Stevens is 88 years old.....

I don't see how any decent human being can refuse to vote for Barack Obama. He wasn't my first choice, nor my second, but now he is my only choice.

Then grew up in Joplin.

How the hell she ended up here in Mass is beyond me. Something to do with marrying a crazy Yankee. :)

26. He has my vote unless he names Nunn
He will have my active campaigning if he either a)directly apologizes for McClurkin b)actively opposes the marriage initiative in California or c)promises to make one of ENDA, hate crimes legislation, or ending DADT a 'first hundred day' priority.
