Chuck Hagel and the Vice-Presidency: Are You Smoking Crack?
Hey wait, when you get past Iraq, Chuck Hagel is the kind of guy you wouldn't want to brake for in a crosswalk. He wants change alright: the kind of change where abortions are illegal and hate crimes against gays are Jesus' way of saying, 'Hey, get a new sexual orientation!'

Thank you, ontheissues.org!

1. I am very excited about Barack being our next president but
I would very much consider not voting at all if he did. I don't think Obama is stupid so I see no reason that he would. There are too many democrats out there that have the same stance on the war that Hagel does, and that is the ONLY thing Hagel has going for him.

It would disappoint me and I am guessing a large number of his supporters.

3. I don't get why some see him as a good VP choice
Who care if he's anti-war? To me that doesn't mean much unless you are right on all the other issues, at least when it comes to being on the ticket.

7. The 'freedom fries' guy is anti-war now, too.
Perhaps we should consider him, as well.

4. Does "the kind of guy you wouldn't want to brake for in a crosswalk" disturb anyone else?
I absolutely loathe Chuck Hagel.

But that phrase needs to be removed from your post.

9. It's not going to happen. Just buzz to bring moderate GOPers to
want to check out Obama.

It's strategy.

Obama only leaks where he wants to.

11. Those who suggest Hagel are probably disappointed that Pat Buchanan is not a contender.
They are the same on almost every issue. Or maybe Ron Paul. Or any of any of many others who get a 100% rating from the religious crazies and fascists.

12. An anti-war Senator from a red state? Leave him right where he is!
He couldn't possibly do more good elsewhere, and he'd be replaced by someone worse.

Never remove someone from a crucial position just to fill the second slot on the ticket.

14. I'm not in a very bipartisan mood this year....next year I can deal with a couple in the cabinet
maybe, but the vice presidency? No, I don't think so.
