First Time Ever
I'm 64 years old and for the first time in my life I am ashamed of my country. Ashamed because of how the American people are allowing this election to be run and they don't seem to care. I am truly scared for my grandchildren if Bush and the Republicans win this election. This country is barely free now; think of 4 more years of this.

1. It was a noble experiment
Now its time for everyone to leave and go back where they came from.

5. Go back where I came from?
I came from Selma, Alabama. I'd rather not go back.

3. Peaches, we are going to win this one.
One day you and your kids and grandkids can look back at 2000-2004 and say, "Whew, look how close our nation came to demise!"

We only have several months until JK is sworn in. Fret not.

4. Hey, Peaches, I'm 61 and I know exactly how you feel.
I was a little ashamed of our country during the Viet Nam war, but nothing like now. And I'm not sure ashamed is the right word; it's more like embarrassed because we have always been such a proud country and could always hold our head up. I guess ashamed would certainly fit how I feel about this administration, but I'm counting on the good people of this country to stand up in Nov and say "enough". Keep up the good fight; we will win.

6. Hi Peaches...
...my Mom is in her 70s and she's scared too - says she's never seen such an awful mess. We're hoping beyond hope for a Kerry win - and quite a few in my family doing all we can to support him. It's absolutely crucial this time...not that it wasn't in 2000.

7. Hi Peaches
I'm 68 and I feel as you do. It is frightening if we have four more years of that garbage and a president that is a clown. He embarrasses me! I am working to see that he goes back to Crawford.
