Don't allow MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, FAUX... to paint the picture of Obama
Edited on Fri Jun-20-08 03:47 PM by wowimthere
Show the media that they aren't trusted and that you don't take them seriously. If you must watch any show, watch the only one that gives you the purest facts and that's KO - Keith Olbermann. The rest of the pundits will spin you like a tornado in a tsunami. The other clowns anchoring the time slots are for comedy relief only but do not let them skew your opinions about Obama. If Obama makes a wrong turn, you will know it, you will read it on the blogs. Clearly you don't need a pundit to distort and make bigger than what it is this gaffe. Don't let the media prove they've got you under their spell, that you can't live without them. You can.

The pundits are taking Obama and his wife to task for what they say, decisions they've made, and making something out of nothing and giving McCain a free pass on EVERYTHING dangerous! They want a horse race. It doesn't matter if people die in a war that should have ended years ago. They want a horse-race. It doesn't matter whether one candidate knows about the economy and the other doesn't. They want this horse race badly. Don't give it to them. Turn the channel at the sight of the inane, and the preposterous. If they know you're watching they will keep vomiting the smears, the lies. Turning away from the lying pundits and embracing the truth-tellers is the only way you change the mindset of our news.

If you watch Fox for kicks, turn to Olbermann for news. If you watch Gregory or Matthews for entertainment, turn them off when you know they're lying and turn them off until you can get to a journalist who can give you the truth. Remember, Arbitron knows when you turn a channel or stay on a channel or tune in momentarily. All of the shows watch the ratings. Doing your part will help to bring a sense of honesty back to news.

1. KO also spins. and does not present "news".
Just because his spin is in the direction you prefer does not make it right. ALL our news media is out of control.

2. What's amazing is the out and out lies - repeating stories that...
...have already been debunked. Letting right-wing hacks lie without clearing up the record. Etc...

Thank Gore for the Internets!
