1. Given the cost
it will take to get that oil out of the ground that is a truly absurd figure. I can only assume the person who said that to be a halfwit.

4. listen to the damn show and you would find out what he's talking about
Madison doesn't bring up false topics and usually does his home work before he does a segment on his show. Not like these wing nuts who get on and lie about everything

3. There isn't enough oil there to lower it a nickel
Not unless he's talking about that super-secret Gull Island megafield that only intrepid internet sleuths know about.

5. Funny, everyone else says it will take 10 years and lower the
cost per barrel by $2.00. It's not supply and demand that's driven the price so high, it's unregulated speculation.

10. Your will never see gas at $1.40 at gallon again. Once you factor in the
land give-aways, tax breaks and subsidies it will probably end up costing average joe taxpayer $8.00 a gallon - all to make sure that the oil corpo executives can afford to hire cleaning staffs for their yachts.

Both with populations large enough to keep oil prices climbing forever.

14. He has no idea what he's talking about..
I lived in Alaska for ten years, prospected for Uranium by helicopter for two summers for the Dept of Energy in ANWR and most of the top half of AK.. I worked at a CoreLab where the oil companies sent their drilling for inspection by geologists, and in case you didn't know the oil up there is garbage for the most part, Shale Oil, hard to get, nothing like the sweet crude in the middle east..

Anyone with a brain knows that if they pumped ALL of it out of that state, it would supply the US with maybe two years of gas.. Maybe..

The person is an idiot, and I would personally love to take him into the pristine beauty I lived in in our mobile camps moving across the face of the Slope.. And Feed Him To A Bear.

Such bullshit.

17. Someone correct me if I am wrong...
A few weeks ago there was an article posted here indicated that the oil in Alaska would lower the price of oil by $.75/barrel, 5 years from now.

21. Any oil that is taken out in Alaska does not go to the U.S. markets.
