John McCain: "I was not in love with America"
Until I was deprived of her company"-

John McCain was reported to having said this on multiple occasions the "Verdict", the MSNBC which features Dan Abrahm.

John McCain might be a manchurian candidate. He wasn't even born in the USA. Seems not to have loved America until he was captured in Vietnam.

Pass it on!

4. Here's the difference
McCain is a Rwer so anything he says is just fine, no questions or context needed.

Michelle Obama is a militant Black woman who hates America. Everything she says is suspect. :sarcasm:

That's how it is played by the likes of Hannity, Limpballs and any other rw wannabe talk show host. :puke:

8. What I liked about Dan Abrams taking on that Larsons character is the guy was uncomfortable!
Hey, buddy if you are going to make racist rants MAN UP when you are hit with your characterizations. You do it to other people...why isn't that standard good enough for you?

They both wanted to have context for McCain in light of his point in history, in regards to his military service, and in step with who he is as a man...

Not so for MO, she needs to be seen in the most uncomplimentary light and then browbeaten for months over what they see as an angry black militant who is unAmerican. Well if that blatantly unfair standard is equal to MO's standing, then it is as blatantly unfair and wrongheaded when applied to McCain.

I've watched Dan cut other people's microphone in the past when they weren't listening or when he needed to make a point, why didn't he do that with this guy?

You have a better chance of seeing God than of seeing me vote for him!

But I wasn't born in America either. But my Consulate Papers were signed by Warren Christopher. Like John McCain, I'm the child of a former Military Officer who was born abroad. I believe like me - he was born in a military hospital - which even though those are on foreign soil - are really a part of America.

There are so many other things I relish attacking him on  - but not how his father's service to the country should preclude him or make him less of an American. If we open that door . . . Oy - check out the Certificate of Live Birth thread! We can't give them an inch. This would give them one.

11. Well I don't think Obama is any less patriotic or American than John McCain is...
and yet, I keep hearing these attacks against Barack AND his wife.

So, I'm just saying, if it's good enough to attack Obama, than I can attack McCain. After all, why should I discriminate when I'm for equal opportunity?

17. I understand.
I whole heartedly agree - but there are things he really HAS done that are evil that we should be calling him on. He's evil.

We should also be calling Cindy to the floor on the Coors Co and how much they give to the zealots in the anti abortion movement.

12. i dont like these arguments even against mccain. he was clearly patriotic and joined the army
was tortured in vietnam. his policies and actions should be attacked but lowering the public rhetoric like this, in the long term really doesnt help us.

24. I believe the point is to illuminate the idiocy of the faux outrage @ Michelle
IMO, the point is not to demonize McCain, but to use McCain's words to inject context and sanity into the smeargasm oozing it's slime over our next First Lady.
