1. McCain is sitting on fool's gold
Sure, he might poll only 6 points behind Obama, but that doesn't reflect what's really going on. Fact remains that one day Hillary will return from her vacation, put the smack down on McCain trying to court her supporters, and the Obama floodgates will open.

12. I sure hope Hillary says something.
I know she mentioned it in her speech, which was great, but it's been pretty quiet since then. I guess it's early still, but never too early to start smacking down, y'know? :D

2. Two things:
If the economy gets worse and the Independent voter sees his job being lost, he's gonna say, "Fuck the Iraq business. I gotta put food on the fucking table here!"

Second, they should factor in Bob Barr's run on the Libertarian Party ticket. How many McCain voters would that peel off?

3. The fact that ANY American says they would vote for McCain
leads me to believe that there must be some contagious disease running amok in our country that decimates people's IQs.

If Americans are stupid enough to elect McCain then they truly DO deser4ve what they will get, and I won't waste another ounce of pity on them.

4. What is funny is that with single white women, they break for Dems, yet when they marry...
they break for Repubs. What causes that change?

6. Interesting observation
though are you sure it's cause and effect? I would think factors such as age and the inclination toward getting married in the first place might explain some or all of these results.

Why do you think Republicans hammer home the line about terrorists coming to get us? It feeds right into the fears of married couples with children. I can understand it to a degree, of course, because as a parent your first job is to protect your children. And when some White House hopefully is screaming at the top of his lungs that the bogeyman is outside your door, you freak.

14. How does a guy that crashed 5 planes make us any safer? The REAL issue here is that the M$M...
...keeps on giving McSame a pass....Nothing about his former lobbyist campaign staffers, nothing about his continued foreign policy gaffes, nothing about his religious endorsees....and yet the presstitutes are all over Obama like a cheap suit for the exact same issues...

Double standard much?

I think those numbers are badly skewed in McLame's favour and I have a sneaking hunch that both he and his fellow rethuglican congress-critters are in for a severe caning this fall, but to keep things entertaining the mediawhores have to make it appear closer than it really is...afterall...if it wasn't they'd actually have to WORK for a living instead of spouting off opinion pieces fluffed-up to look like news....

11. younger single males tend to be more democratic and so when they marry
they both are probably more liberal and then for some reason--once married and begin having kids they start worrying more about taxes and things like that and for some reason they start thinking that the GOP is better! even when the evidence is contrary. Another reason why people shouldn't marry!

9. Wait until they're on stage next to each other.
That'll be 58-40.

42%ers need to leave my country. NOW. I ask these dopes: how far does the arm have to go before you stop saying "Please sir, can I have another inch"? I don't know, I guess they like the idea of America taking a rocket plunge into a morass of joblessness, bad roads, schools and bridges and constant war war WAR!!
