2. People who do not take your vote for granted:
Edited on Mon Jun-09-08 06:05 PM by IndyOp

They all hope that you will cast your vote as best you can for their good.

Voting isn't our only way of having an impact on the world, but so long as we have a vote we can cast, we should do so for the benefit of all beings.

On edit: A comma

6. Interesting point.
I read someone (on another site) the other day saying, "well, maybe I'll become an independent - so the candidates will woo ME".

Don't take this to mean that *I* - a lifelong Democrat - am speaking about myself. I'm not. But it's kind of like when you've been with the same cable company for ten years and a new subscriber suddenly starts getting offered all this stuff you never got just to sign up - despite your ten years of loyalty.

14. Nobody's vote is taken for granted. If it feels like nobody's pandering to you, well,
that's a good thing--because it means that one candidate is absolutely worlds better for you than the other, and it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which one it is.

Because the other candidate is pandering to some other group?

17. If you are serious about that sentiment.
If you are serious about that idea. If you honestly don't want your vote taken for granted then the last thing you should do is throw your vote away, or cast a vote out of spite, or anger.

Nobody owns your vote. You have every right to make up your mind. As with every election, you should look at the political issues that matter most to you and make a decision based on where the candidates stand on those issues.

18. I understand completely.
I'm with you.

I'm also very worried that my vote will be taken for granted and that no voice
will speak my concerns. Right now I'm feeling like a person trampled by a mob.

I am sure that millions of others feel the same way.
