What a moderate GOP judge told me yesterday regarding Obama....
Edited on Mon Jun-09-08 06:11 PM by rosebud57
The judge is not a fundy, he has been a judge for over 20 years. He said'

Obama will win with 300 electoroal votes.

That Obama's speech last Tuesday is one of the best political speeches he has witnessed in a lifetime.

He gave money to McCain in 2000, but McCain has lost whatever sense he had

He has given money to Obama & Ron Paul in this election cycle.

Edited to add Ohio is the state

2. Yay!!
I too think it'll be a landslide for Obama. I am thrilled to hear that a conservative judge is saying this. :bounce:

8. I think he has seen how increased AA turnout swings elections, David Pepper was believed to be
winning the Mayoral race against African American Mark Mallory but Ward 7 cleaned his clock and we have a black mayor.

Montgomery, Franklin, Hamilton & Cuyahoga Counties can turn Ohio blue.

12. Especially as McCain turns-off the far Right ...
... as he battles Obama for the sane crowd, independents and disaffected Republicans. McCain is going to have a hard time holding onto the Christian Conservatives and get any sort of turnout from them without alienating centrist voters.

15. Also increased AA turnout in Cincinnati puts combover Chabot at risk because his district is 25% AA.
Any repugs with double digit AAs in their district are considered to be in the risky category because of increased turn out. It's how we won the special election in MS.

11. In polling, Barack and Ron Paul have split the active duty military vote.
I think Barack will be pulling votes from many, many previously untapped and unexpected places.

18. I think the real importance is that only the fundy GOP is truly against us & that thinking educated
Republicans have wised up to the damage that the fundy wing has done. I expect Obama to suck up Independent & moderate Republicans that would have gone to Romney had he been the nominee. But would not have gone to Hillary.

19. Ohio is going blue this year. Take it to the bank.
It also doesn't hurt that we have a Dem governor and a Dem Secretary of State.

20. It might hurt a little if people remember Mark Dann, et al,
at election time. I'm sure the Repubs will be reminding everyone.
