Anyone feeling like they just need a break from all this?
I wish it was possible to call a 2 week vacation from the campaign. It was so emotional and hard-fought in all states up till last week, I just hate to jump right into the General.
Not saying that my heart is not in it, I just feel like I need a mental break and wondered if I'm the only one.
6. I can watch Johnny Mac for about 2 minutes tops......
....then my mind starts wandering. McCain just doesn't make sense..... and along with this monotone and 'My Friends' I just wanna throw up..... Yes, some days I just wanna turn it all off and be like a lot of the population - uninformed and uncaring about politics....how much easier it would be.... but.....I care about my kids and grandkids too much to just become a sheep, I guess..... but it has some appeal on certain days...LOL.
I'm looking forward to coming on here in two days and not having to see the continuing battle of Hillary supporters at war with the Democratic party. Good Lord, 15 posters here have made her continuing cause the centerpiece of their existence, and the other 1000 posters have to tolerate it.
Here's how I look at it. For a while, I had to take a break from politics. Everything I read, heard and saw was making me depressed. Continuing to focus on it wasn't helping anyone. Getting even more depressed and burnt out wasn't helping anyone. So I took a break and recharged. And now I want to whoop ass again. :D
Take care of yourself so you can take care of others.
and stay away from CNN and other news TV. Watch baseball. Or nothing. Don't read the papers (trust me, I do this just about every vacation, and nothing bad has happened to me yet- at least not that I can do anything about).
