To Clinton supporters upset about the lack of prominent Democrats defending Senator Clinton against
sexist comments in the media:

I have to think that Senators Feinstein and McCaskill and Schumer and Chairman Dean would have been perfectly willing to go on MTP, etc. and express their disgust with the sexist comments about Hillary, IF the Clinton campaign wanted them to.

I'm sure they would have said yes to a request (even if they were Obama supporters, as is Sen. McCaskill). Maybe someone even called up the Clinton campaign and suggested it.

I'm wondering if the Clinton campaign discouraged such efforts due to not wanting to "appear weak" (not that I buy that theory, but it seems to be important). Or, maybe they did not want to shine a spotlight on the disgusting comments, on the theory it was better to ignore them.

Just my speculation here. As far as I know, the Clinton campaign has not addressed this topic of whether prominent Democrats could/should/wanted to defend her.

1. not that Clinton should have HAD to ask for defense against
sexist attacks. But Feinstein et. al. would not have protested the sexist media without clearing it with Hillary first.

2. Sometimes a profile in courage doesn't have to be asked...
...It was a feature of the Obama campaign, as was the pretense that the Clintons were racists. What does one expect from Axelrod = Daley machine. These are not nice people.

Let's hope the media keeps being in love with Obama and doesn't switch over the Maverick McCain.

Whatever candidate is being sold by the media--is NOT the one I want.

3. oh please. YOU supported the candidate of Mark Penn. Axelrod
is a prince compared to that piece of human filth. And the Clintons were the ones who employed the southern strategy in an effort to frame Obama as a fringe minority candidate who couldn't get white votes in the contests following SC.

It may be over, but I'm still not going to let hillarian lies fly.

...Shrum wasn't effective but didn't seem as creepy as these guys.

6. They do try to select the president, but people are catching on...and turning them off!
It will take a freak show to get the rating back up.

Hope no candidate has any skeletons in his closet. Some "reporters" might start investigating.

9. Leaders such as DiFi & Dean should have spoken out as it happened. Instead she
she speaks out now---after the damage is done. that is wrong!

10. Which is why I'm puzzled....
If Feinstein is willing to speak out now, why NOT 3 months ago?

That's why I think that maybe the Hillary campaign asked supporters not to make it an issue.
