Rhandi Rhodes said it best today..."Now Chris knows what it feels like to have your words twisted and your show USED in a slanderous ad." She thinks that's why he's so pissed. They used quotes from HIS show...out of context...like they do to Dems ALL the time. It doesn't taste so good when it's YOU!

I have always felt Matthews attempted to be fair, though at times he failed. But, he was never as much of a dog as many others in the media. :hi:

I agree Chris is fair, but I didn't think his convention coverage was so.

10. I think some in the media are questiong the role

they played in the drumbeat to war. However, when I listen to the Diane Rehm show she does not like it when callers slam the media for being lapdogs of the Bush administration. On every call critical of the media Diane Rehm will always sigh and even on the radio I can see her rolling her eyes.

I think many in the media see themselves as being smarter than the average American and when criticized by Americans they don't hold in high esteeem (ie. not from the east or west coasts) they act as if the little people are not as well connected or knowlegeable as they. It's like, "how dare you question OUR judgement?"
