I think that if Obama really doesn't want Clinton as his VP
(and the talking heads say he does not)
Then a smart thing to do would be to announce Friday
morning that he has chosen his running mate & it is....

JOHN EDWARDS!!

Ok, that was wishful thinking. But I think it would be great if he would just announce he has chosen SOMEONE.
I think an Obama/Clinton ticket would be very powerful, but, if they can't work with eachother
it would just be a nightmare.

1. I think he should take his time and let McCain lose sleep
over it :-). I heard that there probably wouldn't be any VP announcement until the end of July. He needs someone he can work with and the committee that was appointed today has a huge job to do and they'll have to hurry, too.

6. I think waiting until the end of July would be really, really risky.
I think that if John Edwards had been chosen earlier & had been able to get out there at that time, we might have won it hands down.

2. That would be the easy solution- to go ahead and pick somebody.
Especially if McCain picks somebody soon, then the pressure will be on for him to pick somebody, and he'll get a lot of people pushing for Clinton.

Picking a running mate sends a clear signal that the primary infighting is over and he's on to the GE.

4. That is EXACTLY what I am thinking
It would send a very strong message about how ready he is to kick ass and take names.

3. He Despises Her
I've seen it over and over again in his facial expressions when they're together, his avoidance of her eyes, and his body language. He hates her in a way she does not hate him, from the gut.

I can't imagine them working together directly.

5. Well, we might love that, but I am happy that his camp has said "highly unlikely" to HRC

7. NO! I'd much rather have Edwards as AG!!
(and I was an Edwards supporter, btw)

I adore Edwards, but think he'd be MUCH more effective in that position.
