It was hard, but I made it through.

Awhile back, some Hillary supporters decided to boycott DU. I suggested that in the interest of unity, we Obama supporters take a page from a Hillary supporter who had decided that her Hillary avatar contributed to the divisiveness here at DU - and therefore changed her avatar to a neutral one representing her dream candidate.

As you might expect, my suggestion went over like a lead balloon. However, I changed mine to Barbara Boxer and although occasionally it led to some confusion about my gender and who it was that I supported, I maintained it from March 27 till now. At times the avatar reminded me to keep my cool and not get involved in flamefests - although there were a couple of notable exceptions. Guess I'm not quite moderator material yet. ;)

But while I will try to continue to maintain my equilibrium and be respectful of the Hillary supporters here, I feel that it is no longer necessary to avoid displaying an Obama avatar. (It helps that Barbara Boxer has just switched her support to Obama.)

So... I am now officially an OBAMATRON!

One of my favorite things is when people would think I'm a Clintonite just because I defended her against some shitty argument.

"Actually, I'm an Obama supporter" I would retort.
