IS HILLARY refusing to concede so she can access funds earmarked for the GE?...
I have given much consideration to what possible positive outcome Hillary Clinton could have in refusing to concede and continuing her divisive tactics.

It's not for her political future, that's for sure. It's not for the benefit of the party, of course.

So how is it benefitting her?

The only benefit I can see for Hillary is that she might be able to access the funds donated to her campaign which were earmarked by her contributors for the GE.

I don't think Hillary has made any gains on paying down her campaign debt, and I think it has probably continued to grow.

Perhaps her contributors will release the GE funding if she refuses to concede.

Comments?

1. Which contributors are those? Rupert Murdoch ?
No democratic contributor in their right mind would give Hillary a dime at this point. The only people I can see continuing to find her would be republicans. :puke:

5. But her India corporate handlers would--and already have...

Clearly, Hillary didn't send American jobs to India for nothing.

“Indian hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal organized a fundraising gala in New York that is reported to have raised $2.5 million for Clinton's campaign. 'Deepening and strengthening of US relations with India would be top of the agenda if I am elected,' she is quoted as saying in her 15-minute speech.
Business baron S P Hinduja, Jet Airways' Naresh Goyal, new-age guru Deepak Chopra, and interestingly Indian Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel are reported as among the well-heeled people who packed the Sheraton ballroom. Chatwal's Indian-Americans for Hillary 2008 campaign is aiming to raise $5 million.
Telugu Indian-Americans originating from the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh are also looking to raise $1 million for Clinton.”...

7. The very people who poo-poo conspiracy theories are usually the same ones...
who benefit from the conspiracy.

Grow up. Conspiracies happen every day. It is part of being human. When two girls meet in secret to exclude the participation in an event of a third girl, that's a conspiracy. When a group of middle-managers secretly work to undermine their superior, that's a conspiracy. When a tobacco company's executives agree to cover-up their product's harmful effects, that's a conspiracy.

9. Stop peddling rumors
it makes you look foolish and doesn't help your candidate.

4. on msnbc just last hour
one of three females (Hillary Rozen, Lisa... and the other woman who is on all the time that's not Rachel Maddow) or else the host (pardon I'm not more specific, I was dealing with a major thunderstorm and my cat busted in the window screen to get out of the deluge...)

anyway, someone said Hillary wants her campaign debt retired, wants a role at the Convention and wants to be vp.

All seem to agree that vp is out of the question since, in her speech last night, she made it impossible to ask her to be on the ticket ("What does Hillary want...etc.)

Hillary supporters claim she will be conceding soon. Obama supporters say she has showed no class by not conceding last night and, from pundit planet, the news is that the Obama camp was not happy that she was combatative again last night.

All I gotta say is when a Clinton is around, there will no doubt be scandal and far too much narcissistic behavior.

6. please dont take this as anti HRC
I dont mean it that way, just a question.

Could she legally declare herself an independent candidate and tap her GE funds and pay herself back then drop out?

8. Good question. I'm wondering if she just doesn't concede if she continues...
into the GE, does that make the funds immediately available to retire her debt?

11. That's a possibility
I think she would actually have to be a candidate as in being on the ballot and based on a quick read of this http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/02/23/elec04.hiw.independents/index.html
that might be a bit beyond the skill levels of her advisors. Of course, she can get guidance from LIEberman who formed his own party.
