Hillary, it's over. GO. THE. FUCK. HOME.
OK, Hillary, you didn't concede last night. Fine. You want to take a couple of days to wrap things up, work up the courage, fair enough.

But if you continue running the same take-no-prisoners campaign to Denver, it will be seen for what it is, outright sabotage of Obama's General Election campaign. Now, that won't bother your more fanatical supporters, they'll convince themselves that you've run a whiter than white campaign that had absolutely no influence on an election Obama will lose all by himself. They wouldn't let you accept responsibility even if you wanted to but the rest of us, we will remember and we will NEVER forgive you if you kneecap Obama like that. Forget a VP slot, forget a 2012 run, you wouldn't get elected dogcatcher in Hicktown, Noweheresville.

So, calm everyone down, get your affairs in order, maybe have a couple drinks, find whatever comfort zone you need to find and then concede.

14. Psyche!
;)

Kinda reminds me of a certain politician and her supporters.

George: The war started because of the vile Hun and his villainous empire-building.

Edmund: George, the British Empire at present covers a quarter of the globe, while the German Empire consists of a small sausage factory in Tanganiki. I hardly think that we can be entirely absolved of blame on the imperialistic front.

George: Oh, no, sir, absolutely not. (aside, to Baldrick) Mad as a bicycle!

Baldrick: I heard that it started when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry.

Edmund: I think you mean it started when the Archduke of Austro-Hungary got shot.

Baldrick: Nah, there was definitely an ostrich involved, sir.

:D

15. Well, possibly but the real reason is that it was just too much effort NOT to have a war
E: You see, in order to deter war, two vast power-blocs developed with us, the French and the Russians on one side and the Germans and Austro-Hungary on the other, each acting as the other's deterrent. That way, there could never be a war.

B: But this is a kind of war, isn't it?

E: Yes, there was just one small flaw with the plan.

G: What was that, sir?

E: It was bollocks.

21. Get over yourself. Hillary is going back to a magnificent career in the Senate as a fighter
for the people. In another year she will be one of the most influential senators, while Obama is an irrelevant junior senator trying to live down his landslide defeat.

I agree that Hillary won't be VP. And I don't know who our nominee will be in 2012, but you have no evidence that it cannot be Hillary. Your feelings towards her do not reflect those of the rest of the country.

Hillary has no plans to kneecap Obama, like he undoubtedly would have done to her. He can't possibly win without her support and he will get it. As long as he doesn't get condescending and talk about "giving her a chance to redeem herself." That's the kind of nasty, hateful talk that is jeapordizing Barack's chances.

Steve

22. You're delusional
Obama has passed up virtually every chance to nail Clinton on numerous things and you think he'd "undoubtedly" have kneecapped her? You believe that his "landslide defeat", if it happens, would have nothing to do with Hillary?

Remember those fanatical Hillary supporters I spoke about in the OP? Did any of that seem kind of familiar...?

"I agree that Hillary won't be VP. And I don't know who our nominee will be in 2012, but you have no evidence that it cannot be Hillary."

And you have no evidence of the following:

"...while Obama is an irrelevant junior senator trying to live down his landslide defeat."

More like wishful thinking on your part.

believe that is what a convention is for. I think she will concede, but I don't think its fast enough for some Hillary haters. I still believe that Hillary will be in Obama's administration and that they will work together to beat the repukes in November.

Yes, she is a Senator, good for her, I said nothing about her Senatorial career. As far as the Democratic process goes, she has lost by that same democratic process, it is Hillary who was refusing to respect by refusing to accept her defeat.

Now, as it turns out, she's going to withdraw on Friday (which means she's effectively withdrawn already) and this party can start healing. If Hillary wants to, she can be out front helping with that.
