Is McCain trying to lose?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/03/the-lime-green-monster-mc_n_105044.html

Maybe John isn't so dumb after all. While he has long chased the dream of being president, he has seen what 7 yrs of bushism has done to the country. The separation of church and state - gone. DOJ- destroyed. Virtually every govt. agency - in shambles. Our global relationships and reputation - shattered. Our economy - failing rapidly. Our army - ruined. Our vaunted scientific advances and leads - vanished. The trustworthiness of Congress - blasted out of existence. Iran - a quagmire.

Looking at this mess, maybe McCain, an experienced pol with one prior presidential run and decades of experience in office, took a close look at the mess, and realized that no one could ever fix this, not in one term, not even two. His alleged difficulties with a teleprompter are new and never appeared before, despite years of usage. So what gives? Is he trying to throw the election, because the job's too tough, or is it something organic in an otherwise somewhat healthy, oddly and surprisingly well preserved, 172 year old man.

It could be that he simply doesn't want to embarrass the founding fathers of our nation. After all, he fought along side them against the british.

1. I think he's just not holding up well to his campaign
He's probably not used being 'on' 24/7 for months and months on end, with little time to sleep or rest.

Scares the hell out of me to think how he would hold up to being President. Reagan was bad enough.
