Long and emotional primary, and some of you think unity should happen 24 hours after it is over?
Seriously?

Look, I accepted that Obama would win awhile ago, but to expect people who have supported Clinton with their time, money, sweat, and tears to suddenly turn around and say "Great! It's over! Gobama!" is completely missing the whole point of the human condition.

Yesterday hurt. Seeing Obama gear up for the McCain fight and the power of the Democratic party turn its guns towards the Republicans was great, but it still hurt. I believed Clinton was going to run for president after the 2006 election, and I geared up for it even then. That is a substantial amount of time I spent with her as my political focus, and I cannot turn off the feeling of "this sucks" one day after she was mathematically eliminated. Hell, I knew Obama would win a month ago, I posted to that fact, but Clinton was always my candidate.

I am thrilled we are running a strong candidate this November, and I will be helping Obama get elected soon enough.

But really, this is a hard enough time for some people, including myself, and it is time to let the cooldown periud truly work. No calls for mass bannings yet, no calls for a party purge, and enough with how we're delusional. Time heals all wounds, so let those who need it, have it.

Pre-edit: Yes, I know some Clinton supporters have been horrible in the past 24 hours, but, in my opinion, it is time for the winning candidate's supporters to take the high road and start talking about McCain. Responding just fuels the fire.

1. How many months have we had to prepare for two - exactly two - possibilities?

2. It doesn't matter how many choices
It still hurts for many. look, we're good Democrats, but the person we wanted to see run the country for 8 years was just eliminated. We get time to mourn.

3. No harm in it, I suppose.
But we need to sail from that point to November without getting our momentum tripped up anymore. People are eager to move forward, and we've had our defining moment yesterday.

5. And the Republicans are looking to make some headway while we 'mourn'
What if this next week or two of mourning is the difference between the election in November.

Many years later, talking to your children:
Q. Why was Roe v. Wade overturned?
A. Well, honey, we were too busy coddling Hillary's ambitious ego instead of fighting for our own futures.

4. How much more of a headstart does Hillary want McCain to have?
Sorry, but her ego is playing right into the "Hillary '12" theme.
