Question on the VP choice.
This is not an attack on anyone, but an honest question.

I know that Cheney had to cut ties with Halliburton when he became VP, and I assume that there is some rule or law that says a president or VP would have to do these kind of things so there would not be a conflict of interest, even then we all know Bush and Cheney played favorites with big oil and other large contributors to their election.

So my question is would the spouse of a president or VP have to cut ties with some of their business interests, or any organization or group that may cause a conflict of interest? Of do they even have to do such a thing?
