How Does One Close the GD/P When Hillary Keeps the Contest Open Herself?
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 01:35 PM by David Zephyr
Hillary Clinton has kept the GD/P forum "open". And she's keeping it "open" still.

1.) Hillary Clinton can not even muster the decency to congratulate our presumptive nominee. She still doesn't acknowledge he is our nominee.

2.) Hillary Clinton has not endorsed our nominee.

3.) Hillary Clinton has not asked her delegates to support our nominee.

4.) Hillary Clinton will not attack the Republican nominee.

5.) Hillary Clinton's surrogates are still threatening a convention floor fight.

6.) Hillary Clinton ALONE kept the primary season extended long after it was mathematically impossible for her to win the nomination.

7.) Hillary Clinton ALONE is now moving the goal posts still again keeping the primary season "open".

To Hillary's supporters who continue to whine here about the GD/P staying "open": You can't have it both ways! Your candidate is keeping this forum "open".

1. I see no reason to buy into her delusion
It's over. Thinking the world is flat has never made it so.

9. Exactly. Doing otherwise just lends her publicity, and fuels division.

5. Odd that such simple logic somehow flies over the heads of so many.
If she'd just acknowledge reality and concede, it would start to ease up.

6. The hell of it is, the longer this goes on
the more humiliated she will be, as her delegates begin switching away from her.

They all know that the popular vote argument is bullshit. He has the delegates. He won. That is the only metric the Democratic party has ever used.

If she wants to change it, fine - for the NEXT election.

This one is done.

11. I see this as you do. The longer it goes, the worse the Clintons appear.
Americans, especially liberal Americans, are beginning to really see this couple for who they are.

Randi Rhodes spent the entire afternoon on this subject.

She said Hillary was "classless" last night. She was.

7. Whether Sen. Clinton has conceded or not, the last Primary
has been contested and the delegates allocated and Sen. Obama has the required number of delegates to merit calling himself the nominee or presumptive nominee. No primaries left, therefore there should be no Primaries forum. (DU:P is a toilet/cesspool/collection of hate anyway.)

Whether Sen. Clinton completes all the tasks on your list or not, Sen. Obama is/will be the nominee. I don't have to hear Sen. Clinton to concede to know that.

10. I Think It's a "Nike" Kind Of Thing
You "just do it." Go on. Any continued infighting on our parts isn't going to get her to concede or help Obama move forward. So why don't WE just move forward? (Hillary supporter).
