6. She won't.
She won't win because Indie's never do (sadly) and then she'll lose her Senate seat and all political pull she's ever earned.

Won't happen.

but I read here that it's already too late to get on the ballot in many states. I hope that's true.

15. Hello President McCain
She doesn't have the fundraising ability to run 3rd party and I doubt Bill would want her to spend more of their savings on one either

She's not going to run as an independent, however. What ever issues people have with her, she is and will remain a Democrat.

20. I believe
Given how close the race was between Clinton and Obama, I believe if Clinton ran as an independent it would siphon off enough votes from the Democratic Candidate to ensure that neither Clinton nor Obama won against McCain.

I hope she does not do this.

21. Stranger things have happened
I had this worry that Hillary would steal the nomination and Obama would run independent... But the reverse of this doesn't sound too bad... Hillary as an independent would be a disaster.. for her. Obama would win handily anyway.

32. This has been raised a number of times, and it CANNOT HAPPEN.
She would not be able to get on the ballot in many states.

It would be stupid to campaign for president when you couldn't even compete in all 50 states.

Besides, her time as a Democrat would be done, her connections would be flushed down the toilet, years of political capital would be burned and never reclaimed.

Clinton shows monumentally bad judgment, but I doubt if even she would try something so blockheaded.

35. She has millions in General Election Only money already...
And, I'm sort of curious to see how the primary rules would apply if she conceded. I wonder if her Democratic GE fund would be used for primary debt and how much that would leave her and if she runs under a different party banner if she financially starts over or how that works.

It's far too late to register as an Independant candidate. She cannot get her name on the ballot. It simply can't happen, period.

38. A lady on C-SPAN last night wondered...
She was on a bit after Barack's speech. She was asking if Hillary's name would still be on the GE ballot because she wanted to still vote for the Hill, not Obama. Seemed like a bizarre question from a CSPAN devotee. Doesn't that somewhat imply that you're a political junkie and have at least a basic understanding of the process?

many primary voters were faced with the names of people who had already withdrawn
