3. I don't know, but for sure he won't be doing much WORK
as governor if he's campaigning as VP...

2. This observer would be surprised.
The Republican base doesn't like McCain already. I'm not seeing how they'd like him more if he picked Jindal.

6. I guess we'll find out later today
why he's in Louisiana and has a press conference scheduled with Jindal later today... that seems telling to me. Now is a good time for him to try and stay in the news cycle, after all.

7. Well you might be right. The Pukes are always full of surprises.

I'm really not into Jindal at all. He's something Katrina washed up and left ashore.

McCain's 3rd place finish in Montana should be a source of concern for his strategists.

as Tweety would say.

I predict this will be a royal clusterfuck in the fall. (for the pukes)

My Louisiana relatives (registered Democrats, but not yellow-dog) were big Hillary supporters -- probably not voting for Obama, but they certainly don't like Jindal, and they don't like McCain either.

9. i can't stand him
and KNEW after katrina, he would be next. :puke: and he seems to be popular...of course i guess we dems really didn't have much to choose from- we needed an obama after blanco/katrina and we got duds.

i'm thinking racist republicans are thinking ethnicity up against obama is a surefire way to win. vomit.

11. It could be why McCain is high-profiling Jindal, although it seems as if
Louisiana would be relatively safe for the Pukes in a general election.

Maybe there is internal polling suggesting that the South is more in play than they'd like it to be.

Or maybe it's about fund-raising.

12. An embarrassing outcome for McBush up there in Montana.
If I were McCain's strategists, I'd be sending out the ol' resume looking for other work. McCain's campaign is in big trouble.

18. No prob, mdmc. Good to see you this morning on DU.
The story in that Montana GOP ranking is really a big one.

McCain is not all that popular, even among Republicans.
