It seems like everywhere he turns is another loss, another failure, and another backfire... Bush is showing what isolationism brings. Everyone who he backstabbed and failed is returning for their comeuppance.

It will be interesting to see the truth reconstructed in the wake of his fraudulency.

1. Yes, but...
... Bush's latest strategy is to insist he hasn't suffered one cut.

Instead of running away from the failed war with Iraq, he's running toward it. His position is to make himself appear vastly more masculine than his opponent, John Kerry.

It's all he's got... and he's going for it. :eyes:

4. There is a fine, one way line
between the enlightenment of the whirling dervish, and the dance of the red shoes. Rove spun inexorably over that line last year, and will die of the exertion, just like Lee Attwater did.

5. Do you expect an Atwater-esque Deathbed Mea Culpa, realpolitik?
Me neither.

6. I agree.
Karl is the genuine fascist article. Lee was just a good ole boy gone bad.

2. Like Rome, they will fall because they have made an enemy of the people

I think that you are right, Chavez's victory was just another failure for the Bush regime.
