Hilliary winning the popular vote is a lie.
The 17 or 18 million votes she claims to have won is a lie.

Stop pushing this falsehood.

Anyway grats to Hill for running a tough campaign.

25. There is no popular vote count. Simple.
You can extrapolate one, based upon a variety of methods, but there is is no popular vote count.

Caucuses are different from primaries, and you don't really get an equivalent of a popular vote from either, in either case. The counts used generally make a caucus voter equivalent to a primary voter, which is a distortion. Both are designed entirely to select delegates fairly.

The delegate count is the measure we use to select our candidate. Any other measure is made up, false, a lie, a distortion, an untruth, a misleading falsehood, a manipulation of the facts, etc.

It is a lie and you know it.

Count them all including the caucuses. Otherwise her claim is a lie.

28. Then how, pray tell, is she counting the caucus states?
When in fact her numbers do not have those states figured in? She cannot possibly have an accurate figure and claim to be winning if she is not including ALL STATES WHO VOTED.

4. Why is it a lie?
And if you count Democratic votes, she's a clear winner.

The only way Obama wins the popular vote is if you count votes he never got in Michigan.

17. Wow... the height of delusion. You realize that those vote 'he never got in Michigan'
He didn't get because his name wasn't on the ballot?

You can only pretend she 'won' by accepting the disfranchisement of Michigan voters.

When you take a name off a ballot, people don't realize the choices.

20. Oh those Michigan votes Hillary herself said "don't account for anything". Those votes she added...
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 12:52 AM by BlueCaliDem04
... greedily to her tally nonetheless?

She's a liar, a hypocrite and will say and do anything and everything just to retain power for the sake of maintaining a choke-hold on her ill-gained power in the Democratic Party.

After all, she and the DLC haven't demolished the progressives in the party just yet. There's still so much work to be done!

Work, work, work...

21. How is this
in all the states that they both campaigned he has close to a 1/2 million lead.

Thats the barometer and the Super delegates know this, in addition the real clear politics avg has Obama up by almost 10 pts

8. This isn't really unprecedented, Reagan won the popular vote in 1968
Of course everybody knew that was due to the fact that Nixon's name wasn't even on the ballot in California just like Obama's name wasn't on the ballot in Michigan. Nixon had an insurmountable delegate lead and everybody knew he would be the nominee.

12. Lie or not, there is no fair way to count em for all 50 states, BUT...
If we were to run them all over next week, he'd kick her ass, and good.

The early big states that hadn't met Obama, like California, would flip the numbers.

And that, my friends, is a point that WILL matter in the general.

14. according to Chuck Todd (don't blame me, just the messenger)
Hillary is only ahead in the popular vote when you count in Michigan, and don't count any of those votes for Obama in Michigan bc they obviously can't be determined . Without Michigan, he is about 4,000 ahead in the popular vote, not including the caucus states that don't take popular vote counts. Even her senior advisor Lisa Caputo didn't even have the gall on tv today to push the popular vote meme without including that it depends on specific stipulations.

18. Here's an example of the fallacy of this "popular vote" crap with regard to caucuses...
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/03/popular-vote-question.php

See how this system, with it's many caucuses, makes the idea of a "popular vote" meaningless????!!!!!!! It is impossible to have a popular vote count because it DOES NOT EXIST.
