Let's prepare for more "bring the troops home" moments...

Let's face it, as transparent as it is to us that bush is keeping 130K troops in the violent confines of the middle east, while bringing home soldiers from stable environments, in many cases where they were already able to be with their families, and as obvious a ploy as this is, it will work.

There will be more stunts like this than you can count on two hands over the next 90 days.

And they too will work. The fact is that a lot of these undecideds or these soft bush supporters (some might say soft Kerry supporters) and all these "conversions" are just looking for reasons to go with their first instinct, which is to support bush and for him to show them that he is serious about the military and about national security and all that jazz.

Let's not underestimate it or overestimate the intelligence of these mushy middle people. It will work and we'll have to keep countering it every step of the way. But it will be hard.

1. Bush just brought home soldiers for his next war to send them to...

any doubts about that? You think that the soldiers who have been in Germany and other places are "going home"? Think again soldier...

2. I don't personally thing they are going "home"...

But for the short term that is what he is saying and unfortunately that is what is being reported. Therefore that is what that mush, impressionable middle will think as well.

3. Agreed....The Sheeple think "oh he's bringing them home & making us safer"

whereas the reality is that they will just be redeployed to Iraq or the next "target" of this administration (take your pick, Iran, Syria, etc.)

4. One other thought - is it "possible" that these troops will be deployed &

used here at "home"? Say for "martial law" and "protecting people"? You know, from the terrorists?
