My take on it
To begin, I did find Senator Clinton's speech a little shocking. But, I am assuming the best and I believe that she was using the speech as one last horrah. As President Clinton said yesterday, this will probably be the last time they are involved in a campaign like this one. So she is going out with a bang, not a whimper. My prediction is that she will flat out say sometime this week that she does not want to be VP and thus ending the madness. This isn't Sparta after all.

Watching John McCain today, I saw a candidate that was desperate to find a message. I believe that Obama will beat him no matter who his VP is. The Democratic Party has been pronounced dead many times this decade, and this is a silly time to throw in the towel. So lets all just take a deep breath and enjoy the historic nature of this race!

1. But how many last horrahs do ya get?
You're right; McCain is desperate to find a clue.

2. My take is that she will get the VP. She has won nearly half the total vote
(What is the difference, half a million?), has enough delegates (without the Supers this WOULD be a floor fight), and has a network that he wants to tap into.

She also won one of the two last states when no one expected her to. So she has a legitimate case to make. The voters have spoken and they like BOTH of the candidates. In the two they get a pretty amazing combo-the Republicans are stuck trying to avoid being labeled racist or sexist and have no history at all on their side "elect us! We are two white guys!" Unless McCain shocks everyone and picks Condi Rice (instant death to the chances but does kind of ruin the whole history thing) or Colin Powell (not as bad but still would hurt our history making.)
