Watched all 3 speeches.
McCain's inappropriate affect (that fake yellow smile plastered on his face) was almost as bad as the robotic turning
from the teleprompter on his left to the one in the center to the one on his right, then back to center, then to the left...
OMG, get him off my screen...

to Hillary, whose basic stump speech was dragged out one more time. She did not concede. She never gives a concession
speech. Graciousness is a moot concept with her. No surprise, just enough room for a little more disappointment to sneak in.

And then, Obama. How he praised Hillary without a scintilla of resentment or insincerity in his voice is incredible to me, given the fact that,
even tonight, at this momentous instant in our country's history, she couldn't bring herself to offer anything more than one trite sentence
about him in her speech.

He is the kind of leader who comes along (if we're lucky) once or twice in a lifetime.

I am in awe not only of his intelligence and capabilities but of his generosity of spirit.

Thank you, Senator Obama!

22. That smile is bad.

I remember the debate where he tried to talk tougher than the other Republicans on stage and talked about how he'd attack other countries preemptively, he'd flash that smile. So from gritting his teeth and wishing death on some nebulous group to a big teethy grin.

3. Not to mention

that nasty little "heh" before every time he said, (expecting a glorious uproar) "That's not change we can believe in?!"

God, he's lame. I've been more riveted by drying paint. He's no leader.

And in this election, he's toast.

edit: for grammar

4. Brilliant speech. Content, structure, pacing, dynamics, tone - all PERFECT.
I've been around smart people all of my life. Judged lots of debate and forensics.

That was a completely Beautiful speech. I am in awe.

7. Agreed.
I'm a Comm Studies major, I've competed in and judged debate and forensics as well, and I was impressed.

The only criticism I have on first viewing was that he kept addressing the immediate crowd only 'blah blah blah Minnesota!' which had the effect of distancing the televised crowd rather than drawing them in. I would have suggested early references to Minnesota or Minny/St Paul and then moving to a more national scope, since it's a televised event and the outreach is to the TV viewer, not the true believers in the crowd. But that's a fairly minor nitpick.

5. couldn't watch McSame, could hardly watch HRC, but DID watch Obama's
all of it and it brought me to tears. What a gracious, beautiful soul in contrast to Clinton who seemed to not care or take note of this historic moment.
She certainly could have said more to congratulate Obama, to unite, heal the divisions. That she did not - well I guess we'll move on without her now.

9. The truth is, Clinton and McCain were never in Obama's league.
If that's not obvious to everyone by now, then I really don't know what. :-)

11. I couldn't STOP watching Hillary's speech.
I've been predicting she wouldn't concede, but I was STUNNED nonetheless. My jaw was hanging open, a couple of times I actually gasped. Not even an acknowledgment of his becoming the presumptive nominee.

I've said it a zillion times, but this time I really have had it with her.

21. She is pathological just like Bill. Good when you're toe-to-toe with the Repugs, sometimes, but
overall not good for moving forward and being constructive.

He's really out of it. And yeah, Obama was brilliant. Great speech, packed house, a very emotional moment.

On edit: watched Hillary, too, and thought she and her supporters appeared delusional.

He doesn't do the personal attack very well, and looks ugly as a consequence.

17. I didn't see the other speeches, only Obama's
and while it didn't focus on new green jobs as much as I liked, I still loved it. You could feel the energy in that room. I'll simply hope the other speeches are on youtube at some point. I'd really like to see the other two.
