She fought like a lioness ....
... all the way to the last primary. And she won primary after primary down the stretch, bust those early caucuses killed her.

A year ago, I didn't have that much respect for Senator Clinton or the idea of her as president. But the way that's she's fought against the negative media coverage, the ongoing coronation of Obama by the MSM speaks well of her, and it shows in the recent results. She speaks for working people, and she stood up for them as well. She has an idomitable character, that I hope other Democrats emulate in the future (Reid and Pelosi should take note).

This campaign should leave no bitterness, as much as some people would like to create some - it was just a tooth-and-nail struggle, in which one lost and another won. It's on to the next stage. The general election.

Congratulations to Senator Obama, and my admiration to Hillary Clinton.

1. She blew it. Congratulations to Senator Obama, the David who brought down
Goliath, who slayed the dragon--he has an indomitable character. He has my admiration. She gets my contempt.

3. She ran a great race, she is a great leader
I wasn't passionate about any of the candidates this year, but after first supporting Edwards, I eventually switched to Clinton primarily for her health care reform and economic policies. They're still the best of all the Dem candidates, bar none, and if Obama is smart and cares about the country he will follow them.

5. I started on Edwards, too...
... voted for him in SC. He and Clinton stand up for working people, something that some of our fellow DUers don't quite see the importance of - but they'll learn in time, I think.

4. I liked that this primary was an all out battle
I like that Hillary fought hard and didn't give up. I think that determination embodies the American woman very well. She challenged Obama in a way that made him a better politician and made his campaign team one of the best campaign teams I've ever seen. It's safe to say every single member on his staff is prepared to take the WH and Clinton had a part in making that happen.

Congratulations to both nominees for what they bring to this party.
