Clinton does not concede
Hillary Clinton, projected to win South Dakota's primary but unable to keep Barack Obama from clinching the Democratic nomination, congratulated Obama tonight for the inspiring race he has run and said she was "committed to uniting our party,"
but stopped short of conceding to him or even acknowledging her defeat.

She said she will consult with party leaders and supporters to decide how best to serve the party and country.

Instead, she claimed the overall popular vote lead and thanked millions of voters who picked her when they asked themselves, "Who will be the strongest candidate and the strongest president?"
