Translation: Give me VP or I'm going to Denver
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 09:10 PM by lynyrd_skynyrd
It's as simple as that folks. She threatened Obama tonight. He does not want to give her the VP spot, and she's trying to force the issue.

What have I been saying about this woman for the past 2 to 3 months now? Her words and actions speak for themselves. She lost the nomination 2 months ago and didn't concede back then. What makes you think she'd have conceded now?

I guess we'll see what happens in a few days, but it doesn't look good, and I'm not surprised at all.

At all.

2. Go on to Denver, make another spectacle of yourself and your supporters, Hillary
Maybe they'll lock the doors and throw her and her ilk out of the party.

Pathetic.

6. She STUCK him in the position of having to turn her down for VP too...
...or risk pissing off her angry "supporters".

And I agree, that's what she's doing. It's a veiled THREAT to Obama: "Give ME VP, or ELSE!"

What he NEEDS to do is VET many VP candidates (the Clintons will NEVER survive that), and then choose another WOMAN if there is one who is a strong VP candidate. That way, he can still have a woman VP to please the so-called "feminists" who insist they'll vote McSame if she's not on the ticket, and he'll still have good reason (failed vetting process) to NOT choose her and he will have deliberated long and hard about it.

7. Let her go to Denver. We'll try to do it without her.
If Barack Obama is going to win the presidency, he can't start off the general election campaign by allowing himself to be bullied by Hillary Clinton. It would make him look weak and ineffectual, like he's not in control of the party or his own campaign. People are not going to see him as a plausible president, a plausible commander-in-chief, is they think he's weak.

Clinton ran a strong race. She came achingly close. BUT SHE FINISHED SECOND! She cannot be allowed to dictate anything to Obama.

8. I agree. Applicant blackmailing her way into a job? Tricky situation.
What WILL the Obama camp do?

But more to the point: What kind of person would do such a thing? An honest, ethical, forthright person who has my best interests at heart? I think not.
