LOUD WHISTLE and PSA for supporters who cannot leave the Primary behind
"At some point between now and the Democratic convention in August, one of the two remaining Democratic front-runners will drop out of the race, and the remaining candidate will become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. When we have a presumptive nominee, the time for fighting on DU will come to an end. The squabbling will not drag on until the "official" nomination at the convention in August. The transition to general election mode begins when we have a presumptive nominee. And we have no doubt that the vast majority of our members -- regardless of which candidate you support in the primaries -- will be glad to move forward and support the nominee.

We understand that not everyone will be prepared to immediately put the primaries behind us. There will be some jerks on the winning side who insist on gloating. And there will be some sore losers on the other side who will want to keep attacking the nominee. Once we have a presumptive nominee, those people will have one week to get it out of their systems. We believe that a one-week transitional period is more than fair for those of you who cannot switch gears easily or quickly. After this week-long adjustment period, we're done."

This is per Skinner.

Now we only have that presumptive candidate to be declared officially and it is coming...

So the clock will tick the moment we have that become quite official.

And no, I don't want to see anybody receive a granite pizza because of this... and lord knows we have a country to retake from the damn republicans.

And to those who threaten to vote for McCain... if that is your intention... as in true intention... read above.. and find a new home. I don't presume to speak for mods or the owner of this site, but last time I checked McCain was the RNC candidate, and this place is still meant to push for Democratic candidates.

11. Let's see... if I were the übermeister of the world's foremost Democratic message board...
I'd already have drawn up a draft outlining (reiterating) the basic rules, and then stating the exact time allotted during which leniency would be exercised. The mods would have received their precise guidelines (ya can't go tying their hands completely because the reality on the ground requires discretion) by now.

It's just a matter of identifying and determining the moment...

I'd give him about an hour... 90 minutes tops.

(Gasp! Buy then we will have been in limbo for an eternity!)

12. People, take a look at Skinner's comments on that same thread - "A few reminders" --
Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 11:41 PM by smalll
There are at least TWO SOLID instances there where, in response to a question/comment, he CLEARLY comes out and says that GDP WILL CONTINUE TO EXIST UP TO THE CONVENTION until someone drops out.
