DONNA BRAZILE: Clinton Camp Refused Obama 'Olive Branch'
The Clinton camp can spin the FL & MI compromise in their favor all they want right into la-la land, but the reality to this episode was her REAL intention which reared it's ugly head this weekend for all the world to see. Its time to put this cat out the door and say good night folks, it's been fun. See you in November.

" According to Brazile, the Obama campaign had enough votes to get a fifty-fifty split of the Michigan delegation, a result that would have greatly advantaged the Obama campaign and minimized the delegate gains Clinton garnered from Florida. However, the Obama camp passed on pulling the trigger on that deal in favor of the less favorable 69-59 split that the Michigan delegation was proposing.

Brazile, who was taken aback at the lack of effort made by the Clinton campaign to "cut a deal" or otherwise "come to the uncommitted superdelegates" in the room, said: "He also could have won on a crucial vote on this Michigan proposal to split the delegation 50-50. And rather than cause a ruckus they gave in. He had the votes. and the Clinton campaign never took the olive branch."

I understand that she had to stay neutral because of this committee, but that's over now, and so are the primaries.

13. She will but only after the last elections on Tuesday as she has made it clear that she will wait
until ALL 50 (or 48) states have voted before she endorses. I'm sure we'll see it all come together with the delegates coming out and announcing their support for Obama after Tuesday, if not, ON TUESDAY night when Obama gives his speech.

she can just walk away and point to the owner as if it's his fault.

10. Now thats a real surprise that they didn't take the olive branch.. NOT...
Having watched the dramatics of the RBC yesterday, with the so-called Clinton supporters in the gallery heckling anything and everything that went Obama's way does not give me much hope of a truce, either on DU or in the Clinton campaign. The reality is going to come soon though, cause I think that the SD's will come out in force for Obama in this next week.

I think once this fracas is over that some of the huge Democratic names better get there asses out on the floor talking about how we divorce ourselves of the DLC and all of it's members from the Democratic party.

47. Firstly, this was NEVER about Hillary's newly found compassionate fairness to seat Florida
and Michigan delegates, it was always about Hillary RE-DEFINING what the NEW rules will consist of as long as those NEW changed rules favored Hillary to which this NEW strategy began soon after she suffered a humbling defeat to Obama in South Carolina. Afterwards, her husband began rallying the faithful at a rally in Missouri by saying that the campaign was now moving onto Super Tuesday states, and notably, Florida as well. The foundation to change the game rules was being layed in an attempt by the Clintons to seat these delegates later because the contingencies of the moment meant that the decision would favor Hillary. Basically, Hillary's plan all along was to pull a fast one on the other candidates by not taking her name off the ballot. It was an early, conscience strategy by her even though all major candidates (including herself) signed a pledge not to "campaign or participate" in any primary or caucus prior to Feb. 5th except for Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. The other major candidates adopted what seems like the only reasonable interpretation of the pledge and pulled their names from the ballot. But Hillary didn't, thus guaranteeing her strategy to win outright in Michigan.

All the candidates agreed to these rules including Hillary, but now, with very few options left, she wants the rules changed and is determine to excite a ' lynch mob ' mentality by telling the voters of Florida & Michigan that the DNC is trying to screw the will of people's cast vote. It was no mistake or oversight by Hillary that she left her name on the ballot since it was her plan & intention early on to do this all along. This should come as no surprise, its always about the Clintons to which they believe always come first above all else.

Lets wait and see what Hillary will do within a week after Tuesday's last elections and more probable SD's announcing their support for Obama putting him over the top and handing him the nomination. Will she publicly withdraw and pledge her unwavering support for Obama or will she NOT withdraw and continue her campaign as part of another possible strategy now referred to as the " Briarpatch Strategy "? We'll soon find out the true nature of her strategy and intent with the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee (RBC).

" By leaning toward implementing a compromise "split the baby" decision tomorrow on how to allocate the Michigan and Florida delegates -- a compromise that nearly all observers see as a setback for Clinton -- the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee ("RBC"), the Obama campaign and other well-meaning Democrats will actually be throwing Brer Clinton into the briar patch -- giving her exactly the excuse she wants to continue her Quixotic campaign.

..."The rules meeting is a trap. Clinton wants the RBC to give Florida and Michigan not the full votes she is fruitlessly advocating for and which would in any case not translate to a win for her but the half-vote compromise she is publicly advocating against. When the committee does award half-votes, she will have cause to extend her campaign through the summer, guaranteeing a divided Convention and possibly killing Democrats' chances of capturing the Oval Office in November (and of preventing pro-life , pro-Imperial Presidency Republicans from replacing the two remaining Democrats on the nine-member Supreme Court).

She leads in pop vote minus 14 states, per this item.
