Denver! Denver! Denver!!!!
Edited on Sat May-31-08 06:44 PM by sfam
Fuck you, Harold Ickes, Jr. This is not about you and Hillary Clinton. This is about a democrat winning the presidency of the United States of America. This is about:

- Ending the war
- Fixing health care
- Addressing the climate crisis
- Moving the country toward alternate energy sources
- Restoring our civil liberties
- Restoring our world standing
- Stopping right-wing appointments for the Supreme Court

In short, this is about the needs of the american people. A divided party in Denver does not get us there.

Hillary, you can be bigger than this. Its time to bring this to an end.

2. Ickes is a pathetic, petulant scumbag, no surprise he's on Hillary's team
What a joke. He pretty much pulled out a 2x4 and physically drove a wedge into the Democratic Party, all because he and his cronies are willing to do ANYTHING to slake their insatiable thirst for power. Rules and laws be damned!

3. If she has an ounce of dignity and grace, SHE will come forward and end her campaign
on Tuesday. This will be the only way true healing and unity can begin.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for her to do so. I hope I am wrong, but time will tell!

7. Actually, this could be her exit strategy - to put out a threat and then...
appear to be "bigger" than that by stepping back for the abyss and supporting Obama. Supposedly, the MSM will then think she did us all a favor by "rising above" her ambitions.

Then again, if that was the case, she would have done this quite some time ago.

He won without MI and FL. He won with 50% of MI and FL counted. He won with 100% of MI and FL counted.

HE WON! HILLARY LOST!

25. Presumptive. I appreciate a person with a vocabulary. Thank you.
I have been pointing to the fact that we have no nominee until the vote at the convention, but had forgotten this word. Thank you.

makes him "selected".

How is it in Hillaryland?

21. Even if they would have done things the way Hillary wanted...
she can't win! Of course, if you want to change the rules to get your desired outcome, then democracy might be a new concept for you.

9. It is about those issues
and at least half of Dem voters don't think Obama will get the job done. They're also Democrats and they're also entitled to their opinion.

12. Not true. Just because they voted for Hillary, this does NOT mean...
that all those who voted for Hillary think that Obama cannot get the job done. Only you think that, along with some undermined number of others. But it does NOT equal anywhere near all those who voted for Hillary, and you clearly know that just as well as the rest of us.

17. Look at the polls
they'll give you a reality check.

Caucus victories are a flimsy foundation for a presidential candidate.

13. It's all about power...
It's become clear why Clinton & Crew stayed in and did what they have done. They're desperate to hold on the power and influence they used to hold.

On Tuesday, or not long after, the last vestiges of Clintonian rule over the DNC will be remo- (no...) destro- (no...) obliterated.

18. The window for Hillary to redeem herself as a Democrat
is about to slam shut. I think the actions of her mob today opened some uncommitted eyes. She is about to slip into total irrelevance and even more tantrums will not get her any media attention.

23. Lets hope that's all she wants...looks more like she wants 2012 to come...
If she sends this to the convention, there can be no other assessment - Hillary KNOWS she won't get the VP that way. She'll be going for President in 2012.

That said, I think she'll have a bit of a surprise waiting for her next election cycle. If she thought netroots was nasty to her this go-around - if she causes us to lose, just wait till 2012.

and she looks desperate and out of touch with reality. They made their argument to the committee, and in the end will lose on overall delegate count. They can only win by CHANGING THE RULES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME. "MY MOMMA TOLD ME THAT'S CHEATIN!" -DB
IT'S WELL PAST TIME TO GET BEHIND THE NOMINEE SO WE CAN BEAT MCLAME AND WAKE UP FROM THIS 8 YEAR REPUKE NIGHTMARE!!!!

27. I think Ickes really showed the true colors of HRC and her campaign today.
With his embarrassing and deplorable display of bias, we can all now see where her interests truly lie. And it is not with the party, nor with the country. It's not, never has been, and never will be.

If this goes to Denver, we can thank Ickes and his ilk for virtually ensuring a third Bush term. But, this time there will be no deflection of blame.

You talk about unity, Mr. Ickes -- it was made clear that it had to begin today. It looks like you now have a choice to make.
