I'm totally new to Photoshop. I used Bryce5 for the background, and I use Corel Photopaint a lot for other things. I just got Photoshop last month and I'm learning as I go. It's a little daunting at first, but I'm getting there.

12. That's what I did.

Initially I used two crappy free programs just to do simple things, then late 2005/early 2006 someone bought me Photoshop Elements 3.0, a pared-down version of Photoshop. Though it has few filters, that's all I still use because I have grown accustomed to the limitations. It makes me work in dozens of layers, painting each one, just to get the same effect as one filter or two filters. It's a lot more work (hours), but it makes me think much more deeply about what I am trying to do, and I come up with lots of ideas while trying to get past obstacles/software limitations. Enjoy your limitations... keep it raw! ;) People who criticize me and my chosen medium ("you are not a real artist!" Photoshop hack!" etc.) only inspire me more, and make me laugh my ass off. :D Who the fuck cares if I am not as good as Juan Gris or Picasso! I don't! I do this for FUN! :D

Sorry, I don't see humor in mocking the age of an individual, especially since I've represented people in age dicrimination lawsuits who were going to or had lost their livelihood because someone felt as some of you here apparently do, that old people should just be retired and out of sight. Jimmy Carter is also older than dirt and yet he would make a better president than any of the 3 still in the running.

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of McCain without resorting to this.

we all know that McCain's age is going to be an issue during this campaign. Fair or not, that's politics. It's far milder than the Republican's current strategy of calling for our candidate's assassination.
