God is in the White House.........discussion 2
I live in Tulsa and for various reasons have attended many pentecostal/charismatic services.

This is what I remember from one sermon ca Feb 2001.

'I walked thru the WH and felt the presence of God everywhere.

I spent a long time talking with our long-time good friend John Ashcroft and felt so relieved that this outstanding God-fearing Christian man is our attorney general.

One humbling experience; one of the office workers had a health problem. We prayed over that worker, who WAS HEALED. It's miraculous that such a healing ministry is now taking place in the WH.

We can all thank God for the men and women of God who are now humbly doing His will at the head of our government.

God has truly blessed America.'

(This is not word-for-word, of course, but it reflects the 'reverent' tone quite well.)

2. Switch chuches and convince everyone your new church is better

The minister is sick. Why would you even want to be around him?

I recently decided to stop attending the church I had attended off and on since a child, not because of any bad sermons, but because people controlling the closest branch are really bad people (and yes, that means they are war-mongering Republican supporters who suppress those woh don't like Bush). Most of the people are good but they don't have the power - at least not at the nearby church - and I don't need the grief.

3. Worshiping Idols
is it not vanity to place a man so high upon a pedestal? Are we all not sinners? Imperfect? Where's the preacher with the balls to preach that?!?

of course, you heard about the preacher last weekend in Kunnebunkport, right?

4. Either God is scamming the Bushies or,the Bushies are scamming us
If God was there....Bush woulda done it right with good results.

That the results so far after 3 1/2 years, suck, is a big clue that something is amiss.

God knows where Osama is...or those WMD are....If God is talking to Bush...the answers woulda been forth coming...a long time ago....

The big picture is missing from Bush
