1. uh oh I read that earlier too.
I thought that article made some good points, but I was afraid to post it myself because I knew I would get crap for it being by Peggy "Mrs Clinton" Noonan.

6. Hell, DU is through the looking glass...
Karl Rove is now a genius, FOX news is fair and balanced, and if I see one more post linked to Newsmax I might puke. As for Ms Noonan, even a broken clock is right twice a day... (unless it's digital, then it just blinks)...

13. her hatred for Hillary Clinton goes back years,
Edited on Sat May-24-08 09:38 PM by ErinBerin84
I think that has much more to do with it then her trying to game the public on this one. She's probably the last Republican who hasn't crossed over to advocate on Hillary's behalf. I think she's full of bullshit a lot of the times, and that she makes sense some of the time (just like I think that Pat Buchanan or Tucker Carlson make some good points occasionally, as much as I dislike them) .I think she made some good points here.

14. I quite like Noonan, even though she's often wrong. This is a superb piece of writing.
And it is NOT because it bashes Clinton (it doesn't, much). It's just superb writing. And if you want to bash Noonan over this, think for a moment first how difficult it must have been for a woman to get a column at the WSJ.

Great writing. Dayum, you go girl writing. And then you go throw in the WSJ angle. Yep, she deserves some props.

I can give Peggy Noonan props, this one time. That was not only on point, it was a joy to read all the way through.

23. You'll not get a snark from me about posting an article by Ms. Noonan.
I think we make a mistake when we don't read opinions from people we may only rarely agree with - we'd miss excellent columns like this one!

I don't remember the exact wording, but Lady Thatcher and some men from her cabinet (I think) were at dinner at a restaurant. Her order was taken first, and she ordered the roast beef. When asked 'what about the vegetables', her reply was 'they'll have the roast beef, too'!

it's ovaries versus testicles, the battle royal, the main event.

It must be true, I've read all about it on DU.
