Wire service says former Fannie Mae chair Jim Johnson has been asked to start vetting potential running mate candidates.

Johnson handled the same assignment for John Kerry and Walter Mondale.

6. I Would Just Like To State Publically Now...
I am not seeking, nor would I accept a vice-presidential nomination. While I would be flattered to be contacted by the likely nominee, whom I wholeheartedly support, I prefer at this time to spend more time with my family and snarking on this message board.
