And with a little effort we can win PA and OH. Just because Hillary beat Obama

It ranks in the middle. It's not particularly well-educated, either. I think it's about middling on that, too, as a whole. There are plenty of rural communities (Portland and Eugene have the only population bases of any note), and many people are struggling (forestry, salmon fishing, etc. are in the crapper). Yet ... We love Obama.

Why? My theory is that the ocean breezes and all the oxygen from the ginormous trees here clear peoples' heads. :hide:

78. I think, quite truthfully, it's that the South has ONLY conservative
talk radio. Seriously, NPR isn't broadcast on stations powerful enough to carry it down the street and, with the exception of some Air America-type shows in Memphis, Atlanta, Austin and a sprinkling of other places - the entire lay of the land down here hears ONLY Limpballs, Insannity, Savage and that other dude - the "libertarian" (Republican who isn't a Thumper)... Neil Boortz.

We really aren't told of Democratic ideals from Democrats. We're told by conservatives how those evvvuuulll libruuuls think. Yeah, right.

since SC , at least.. before that people voted for her on name recognition.. the same reason they mindlessly pick up Colgate, instead of ACME Tooth Cleaner :)

after SC, the ONLY glimmer of hope she has had is Operation Chaos & appealing to the lowest educated, poorest and racist among us.. What a sad legacy to end the Clinton influence.. Racebaiting, fear and screams of sexism, when she cannot get intelligent, informed people to vote for her..

pathetic:(

only "fights" in states she knows she will win.

Bizarre strategy for someone so far behind, desperate to reverse the flow of supers, that she would surrender Oregon and settle for a split tonight. She can't catch up in the supers' minds by throwing in the towel on states like North Carolina and Oregon.

37. Because they're too "secular"!...
Her Fellowship membership hasn't prepared her for that atmosphere...

I recall seeing some statistics earlier that Oregon, of all states in this country has a population with the least amount of people centrally belonging to one religion. There are a lot of different religions and a lot of agnostics and atheists, but it is unique in that there really isn't any one dominant religion in any region that much. And that diversity, in my book, makes it a damn cool state!

And I would submit, with that sort of demographics, I'm guessing that it correlates very highly to many Oregonians thinking for themselves a lot moreso than other states, which I'm sure is something that Hillary's campaign hates, since they are used to having followers that like to be told what to do...

68. WA is a great state
And I'm sure Oregon is just as great. I have lived in many states and I have to say WA is the most beautiful thus far. I have also meet the most open, intelligent liberals who care deeply about this country. There are tons of activist in Seattle Washington, one of the best cities this country has.

I just love how some of you Hillary supporters insult entire Liberal states as kool-aid drinkers and elitist just because those people were smart enough to see through Hillary's bullshit. I guess you Hill supporters have your priorities all in a quirk: pandering to the racist why liberals and activist are the kool-aid drinking, educated, elitist. Sine when did being liberal and enjoying a latte become a no no but being racist and dumb are all admirable traits? I believe that if more Americans were latte drinkers we would have a president Kerry instead of dumb ass Bush. Maybe Hillary should of had a latte the day she decided to vote for the Iraq war cause we all know it's the lattes that are making people smart. :eyes:

87. In what universe?
Your candidate, who had the advantage of a strong political machine in place for 20 years and all of the priceless name recognition, not only lost the nomination, but now in fits of sour grapes is intent on destroying the Democratic nominee.

You know, as a Democrat I'm mad as hell that for the past 7 years we have been forced to live in an alternate reality that bush* & company created. Remember how if you listened to the media you would have thought that everyone was a conservative evangelical and anyone who wasn't hated the baby Jesus and the US? How only Democratic women were in favor of reproductive rights, how everyone in the military supported bush* and his illegal & immoral war? How liberal was a dirty word and anti-American? Remember that f*cked-up alternate reality that the gop had created through smoke & mirrors?

If you remember, you should be ashamed for participating in creating Hillary's alternate reality. I am a feminist who is mad as hell that Hillary and her surrogates believe that they are speaking for me. She lost the nomination, yet she and her supporters persist in creating some bizzar-o world where she is still viable. Her goal is nothing more at this point than to tear down the Democratic nominee.

Don't try to peddle Hillary's crap to me.
