John Kerry, reporting for duty! This phrase and his salute are powerful
reminders of Kerry's (and all other reputable vets') service.

Kerry's salute and reaffirmation of his duty to this country is in stark contrast to the reality of bush's lack of service and honor.

Bush settles for wearing a jacket and giving empty salutes trying to look 'military' and 'bold' while he struts around inspecting our troops during photo ops.

2. President of the united States is the top duty of the country and
he is willing to take on that duty. I love this man's character

3. I absolutely loathe when Kerry salutes
It just seems so phony to me. He is no longer in the armed services and shouldn't salute.

Much of the convention focused on showing that Kerry is macho and tough. It seems to have worked to swing much of the veterans vote and improve Kerry's appeal to men. For me, the base, this type of stuff frustrates me.

4. It was wonderful at the convention, now let it go ...
Lest he be painted as a 'one trick pony'.
I for one get really miffed at hearing the same speech, same talking points, same jokes and gestures from ANY candidate over a period of time.

Makes one start to wonder if its real, true emotion and sentiment, or if it was scripted to get 'bang for the buck'.

JMHO ~
