Kerry got ~ 35K at a rally at Waterfront back in 2004, and he didn't really have the same level of support that Obama does in PDX right now. It's a beautiful day. Waterfront park is a natural gathering place on a day like this anyway. It'll be mobbed. I'm betting 40-50K.

Deadline for drop-off is Monday evening.

I doubt that many in the crowd will be undecideds. As the poster said above, Obama's support is high in Portland. He'll be preaching to his choir. So it's really more of an "event" than a pitch for votes.

20. I'll be downtown today, because the NAMI Walk is today. We start

out on the opposite side of the river from the entrance to the waterfront rally. It should be crazy down there today!

And it's absolutely gorgeous and perfect today. There will be a ton of people out, just because of the kind of day that it is, so I'd expect this could be a huge rally.

I'll report back in after the walk and tell folks what I saw...if I can see anything.
