What are your plans for election night (after voting I mean)...
I was discussing this with my wife last night. I plan on putting out daughter to bed at 8:30 as usual, then planting myself on my couch, in front of the tv, with an expensive bottle of scotch, and a glass. I will either be drowning my misery or celebrating. I already have put in for a vacation day for the day after to both nurse my sure to be aching head and/or to either avoid having to hear people discuss the miserable outcome or to resist the urge to gloat at the good outcome.

1. i get up at 4AM so I will watch the early returns
and since I sleep badly, I'll be up and down all nite checking in

I expect that Wednesday I will be a mess with very little sleep.

Since I quit drinking 12 years ago, no alcohol for me but I would imagine it will be quite emotional either way it goes

Kerry on!

2. Glued.................
to the couch watching the returns on TV. I will switch to Comedy Central now (probably more than expected) and then to lighten what I expect will be a very anxious and emotionally draining evening.

7. Taking the night off from work,
ordering in Pizza and Wings, snuggled up on the couch with the pets, flipping between CNN, MSNBC, FOXNews (masochistic tendencies), and the networks. Will be burning several candles and saying quite a few prayers.

9. Aren't you sort of assuming
we'll know who won on election eve.

You may need numerous bottles if it's a repeat of 2000. LOL :)

12. I plan on watching the TV, but also staying on DU all evening!
I think I will get a better feel for what's really happening from DU (from people all across the Country) than I will on the tube. Besides, somebody here will be able to report on each chanel so I don't have to flip so much, or miss anything.

I'll have my beeer in my hand, and try to remember to use the spell check so my emotions don't hurt too bad.
