Obama more electable than Clinton (According to the metric that Clinton supporters have been using)
Edited on Fri May-16-08 12:07 AM by scheming daemons
Clinton supporters have been posting GE poll after GE poll the past month or two claiming that Clinton is more electable than Obama against McCain.

RealClearPolitics.com has done a "poll of polls" and here's what they've got:

Obama: 47.2
McCain: 42.8
(Obama by 4.4)

Clinton: 46.7
McCain: 43.5
(Clinton by 3.2)

So... Obama - by the measure that Clinton supporters have been using for weeks - is more electable than Clinton. And since this is an aggregate of MANY polls, the margin of error is VERY small.

Personally... I think GE polls this far out are meaningless.... but Clinton supporters don't and haven't.

There is only one metric right now that matters... delegate count. That's it. That's the only one. Clinton's campaign screamed from the mountain-tops back in December that the only thing that matters is the delegate count - not states, not popular votes.

Let's hold them to their own metric. You don't get to change your metric every week based on what is looking good for you at the moment.

Also.... concerning Popular Vote: Hillary said in October that Michigan doesn't count. A Federal Judge ruled their election unconstitutional. Therefore, no popular vote count that includes Michigan votes is valid. Therefore, even by THAT metric - a metric that is completely meaningless and carries no weight - Obama is ahead.

This post is for the Clinton holdouts that think this thing isn't over.

1. I think he's more electable due to the fact he got more votes than her. Next.

7. Is it any wonder after Bush/McCain's DESPERATE last attempt to install HRC as nominee
by smearing Obama with unfounded comparisons to Hitler?

9. They weren't comparing him to Hitler... they were comparing him to Chamberlain....
....

Either way.... it's not a valid comparison.
