21. I could see this in my TV, in my magazines, in my inauguration,
in my internets.

I just don't think there's a way to get too much of that. Period.

Is it OK if a political photo makes all the blood rush to the same part of my body at the same time?

Popular US televangelist John Hagee, seen here in April 2008, who backs Republican presidential candidate John McCain has apologized for calling the Catholic church "a great whore," a Catholic spokesman said Tuesday.

13. Are you serious? that is the ticket.LMAO..Nobody was buying his
platform this time and he got his ass out of the campaign. He did not fight for the people he said he cares so much about. HRC picked up the mantle and those same voters edwards could not get have gone to HRC because she actually cares about them, whereas Edwards did not stay and fight for those people, and if he is the vp nominee this will surely drive those 43.5% not to vote for obama or just sit home.....

23. 1. HRC cares about HRC. 2. HRC lost. 3. Edwards left because he has
self respect and he put his party and country ahead of his own ambitions.

But keep trying. There are 3 people left on this site who might believe you.

17. I actually stood about 6 ft from McCain the other day.
He had just gotten in the car after touring a Manhattan fire station and I stood right in front of him trying to take a picture but my phone was full. Anyway, he looked like he came from Madame Tussaud's Wax Machine. Waxy and WEIRD and not all there.

16. If Obama picks Edwards he'll face a barrage of criticism
regarding Edwards' IWR vote, the same vote Obama attacked Clinton for making.

And no, no one is going to buy that Edwards "apologized" for the vote so that makes it better.

25. Beg to differ
it was significant that Edwards publicly apologized and admits that he made a mistake. So many others have not. I'd rather have a president who can admit that grave errors were made on the initiation of the Iraq War (what we can plainly see). He doesn't deny and obfuscate and insult our intelligence.

20. John wants AG - I think I prefer that for him, too.
snip> But privately, he told aides that he would consider the role of vice president, and favored the position of attorney general, which would appeal to his experience of decades spent in courtrooms as a trial lawyer in North Carolina; and his desire to follow in the footsteps of Robert F. Kennedy, one of his heroes.

It's true he may be politically helpful on the ticket, but that might be mitigated by the perception of "loss" from being on Kerry's ticket.

24. and what exactly did Edwards get Kerry? I mean...
i like Edwards and all, I really do, but he got Kerry virtually nada...

The reasons why you would want Edwards on the ticket are to appeal to the south and to connect with the white working class (the demographic, not a racist statment).

Obama has a problem with both, as did Kerry (who also had an elitism problem)

soooo... what did Edwards get Kerry? Nada. Kerry lost the South, didnt get NC (Edwards home state) and lost the white working class.

Edwards also got stomped by both Obama and Clinton very early on in the primaries, showing that his strengths in those demographics have not changed much.

He has also been out of the race and out of the limelight for months now, making it an slightly weaker argument...

I think Obama has much better options.
