If not VP, what other role for Hillary?
I am one of many who believe that it would be a huge blunder to have Clinton on the ticket as VP, and do not believe Obama will make that mistake. That has nothing to do with the kind of campaign she has run. It is simply a view that she brings little in terms of ticket electability, and comes with huge negatives that could bring out 5 million GOP voters we really don't need to see on election day.

But setting that aside, I wouldn't be opposed to her having some other position of importance in the Obama administration if she would prefer that over being New York's senator. Does anybody know the process for replacing her if she resigns her seat? Would we likely replace her with a Democrat?

What cabinet positions would be good for Hillary? I could not see State or Defense personally, but would be interested in arguments for those or other positions.

59. NO. You think John Bolton was an asshat in the UN? Wait until you see Hillary!...
The problem is that Hillary has destroyed her own credibility. She's proven she is without ethical standards. She's not a good leader, immediately turning to force and "my way or the highway" because she knows no other way.

Our country has suffered 8 years of being humiliated internationally by Bush and his appointments/staff. We cannot risk further humiliation and fall in international opinion, which Hillary and her lying and ham-fisted approach would bring.

The world laughed their ass off at Hillary for her sniper-fire and Irish peace-talks lies. It was embarssing to be associated with her, even as simply a fellow American.

Hillary's has well earned her unsuitabiliy for any posiion of power or influence on behalf of the American people.

She would be better served working on behalf of the outsourcing corporations in India. Oops, thats what she's been doing. Perhaps she could restore some credibility if she was at least honest about the fact that she has been whoring her Senate position for India outsourcing companies, willingly putting Americans out of jobs as she sent American jobs to India.

33. Her best role for the short term should be to help Obama get elected.
However, she will probably just make a token effort to support Obama secretly hoping that he will lose so that she can run again in 2012. It will be similar to what happened in 2004 when she outwardly supported Kerry while at the same time she tried to sabotage his candidacy behind the scenes.

Who I think is has more than 30 years seniority on her - and actually has passed healthcare legislation.

HRC is a second term Senator - she likely does chair some subcommittee on something. She already has been a First Lady - why does she deserve a special consolation prize. No one else got one.

You added the "like a good little girl". Now being told to behave is what you may say to a child. She is acting like a spoiled child because she is not getting her way, but I fail how to see how that is sexist.

if I said that Obama's best place should be "Being told to sit in HIS Senate seat and to behave HIMSELF" how would that sound to you?

To me that would sound racist as hell and I'd never say anything close or even think such a thing. To me, being a woman, even without the "good little girl" added, it sounds like a very sexist remark but it sure isn't the only one here.

Sexism, ageism are the last bastions of bigotry yet to be effectively challenged these days.

By calling someone, anyone a "frigging idiot" does nothing to "unite" anybody and disrespects Obama's call for unity and change.

It would disingenuous to continue to dis the nearly 17 million HRC supporters who are needed for Obama to win in November.

77. I think she'd make a fine Sec. of Health and Human Services
Or she could stick with her current job of Junior Senator from NY.

95. She could be the Ambassador to
...Get the Fuck Outta here and don't come back!!

Seriously, she has no role in the next administration. She's poison, and not to be trusted.

She needs to take her big ass back to New York and run for governor.
