Just a Thought
I had a meeting with local party leaders. We were talking about the national election, and our publicity director made an excellent point.

If Obama gets the nomination, who do you think Clinton will vote for? Or vice versa? If you truly support your candidate, you support their fundamental beliefs. Let’s not cut off our nose to spite our faces.

Now, many people are not ready to unite. That’s fine. But when the time comes, we will be a team. We will elect the endorsed candidate. And eventually, the Greatest Page will be filled with more news, additional details on why McCain sucks, and the REAL reason we are fighting.

Foolishly, many of us are fighting each other right now. Let’s not. Let’s fight against poverty. Let’s fight for equal rights for all Americans regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, or religion. Let’s fight for health care. The list goes on and on.

I normally lurk, but I have been posting a bit more often lately. This infighting annoys the hell out of me. America can get out of the hole it is in, but for that to happen activists must unite. I think we can.

1. Part of me is thinking
that the sooner this ends, the more time people have to cool off and rally around Obama. If HRC and her supporters "keep hope alive" all the way to a messy convention, that could have more ramifications for the GE than if they had the next few months to warm to Obama.

3. I hope it resolves itself soon
The thing is, the attention span of an undecided voter isn't that long. The polarizing difference between McCain and either of our candidates are so vast.

Honestly-it scares me that those people decide who wins the highest office in our nation.

5. Obama could help heal the party sooner if he would step down.

2. Yes we can.....
we will.

No one wants a 72 year old anti-choice neocon in the White House again.
