4. All The Indexes are in a Downtrend
the market as a whole is still significantly overvalued, economic statistics are showing a new slowdown and August-October is not a good time seasonally for the stock market.

I think it will be closer to 8,500 by election day.

5. I'm Glad I Have Reduced My Holdings...
I used to turn on CNBC in the morning and as a result of my heavy investments the markets would dictate my moood.....

I now have less than 10K invested so it's kind if a hobby....

I think 8,500 is a bit low but we're at around 10,000 now and a Dow 8,500 is much more likely than a Dow 11,500...

People don't realize that that the Dow was in the same place in 1949 as it was in 1932 and it was in the same place in 1982 as it was in 1969...

Even if you are in it for the "long haul" you need to be cognizant of these numbers....

7. We got completely out about 3 years ago. Put everything into bonds.
Lately I've been thinking I should get back in a little bit. Glad I held off!

8. Yes, November May be a Little Quick for 8,500
although I do think the other shoe hasn't dropped yet and we'll eventually enter another phase of the bear market before bottoming out. It's a multiyear process, just like the bubble was.

I've posted this before, but in case you haven't seen, I like this guy's analysis:
