I don't give a fook that Kathleen Sebelius is a woman
She impresses the heck out of me. What a fantastic job she has done as the Governor of Kansas! I want her to be VP, because a) She has done such a great job governing Kansas, and has garnered massive support from Republicans, which would make her a natural fit for Obama's "reach across the aisle" mentality, b) She is very down-to-earth, does not appear to put on airs, and is likable! I don't even care that she is not a dynamic speaker, she is very likable and IS most assurably well spoken, c) She will flat out appeal to many reasonable people, regardless of party. She is a beautiful lady, very even keeled and level-headed, yet very strong and in charge, without needing to even mention that she is, d) She has the big "E"- experience. She was in the House from 1986-1994, was elected State Insurance Commissioner in 1994, the first Democrat to be elected to that post in over 100 years in Kansas, and then Governor in 2002 to the present, and e) She seems to have a special rapport with Obama from the speeches I have watched where she introduces, and/or speaks about him. She seems to be on his wavelength as far as the importance of education and many other issues, pretty much someone who could be counted on to carry forward with his agenda should something unfortunate happen to him, which is what he has said he wants most in a VP. And I didn't even mention that she helped bring the state out of a 1B+ dollar debt without raising taxes. She did it by reducing congressional pork, which is high on Obama's list of priorities in the realm of ethics. So, to conclude, despite many other VERY qualified and wonderful candidates for the VP such as Gen. Clark, Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, Janet Napolitano, Jim Webb, and a host of others, I am now endorsing with hearty enthusiasm, Kathleen Sebelius, Governor of Kansas, to be our next Vice President of the United States!

1. She's growing on me. Not that I've a say anyway as some would like to remind me.

2. None of us have a say in this, American or Canadian
But, I am hoping for this to happen. I have the utmost confidence that Sen. Obama will pick a fantastic running mate, and select a Cabinet full of the best possible people, if and when the time comes. What an exciting ticket that'd be to vote for! OK, I'll admit breaking two glass ceilings would be pretty neat, but the qualifications and backgrounds of these candidates lead me to believe that they'd do a hell of a lot more good for this country than any administration has in decades!

That she's a bit dull when it comes to speeches.

However I think that Obama's oratory skills are enough for both of them, and this election will be about going away from jingoistic policies.

Edit: Typo

4. Obama has said that foreign relations experience is not necessary in a VP candidate
that he has it covered with his term on the foreign affairs committee. I am certain he will be surrounded with the best in his Cabinet as well, I am not concerned with that at all. I think having a decent human being, with a great moral compass and TRUE leadership ability, is most important. Sebelius fills those roles, IMO.

5. she has done a great job Governing Kansas?
You say that from Wisconsin. I have been in Kansas since 2002 and I do not see such a great job, especially since I have started to get reports from a state legislature these last two years. I am expecting her to run against Brownback and think that would be great, but would not favor her as a VP. First, because she is probably to the right of Clinton. If she gets along with Republicans, she does so by meeting them more than halfway. Second, because she is not that well known nationally and cannot even carry her own state. Third, because pragmatically I worry that trying to break two glass ceilings at once will be too far-too fast and make us even more vulnerable.

She, would however, be the first vice presidential candidate that I have ever met in my 46 years.

6. It looks like the media is starting to jump on the bandwagon to try to force Hillary onto the ticket
Most of us know all the reasons why this is a horrible, horrible idea, but the corporate media is going to embrace anything that builds their ratings.
